HOSTILITY TO OBAMA

Neil Armstrong blasted President Obama's decision to cancel NASA's back-to-the-moon program. Acting on advice of an independent panel of top notch scientists, the President made a decision that should serve the best interests of the country.
An army doctor, Lieutenant Colonel Terry Lakin considers orders from President Barack Obama to be illegal because he believes the President does not meet the constitutional requirements to be president and commander-in-chief because the president was not born in the United States.
State Senator Randy Brogdon who is a candidate for Oklahoma governor has endorsed the idea of a state citizen militia using force to oppose the federal government.
The Insurance Commissioner of Georgia, John W. Oxendine, who is a Republican candidate for governor has chosen not to comply with a federal request to create a state pool for high risk insurance plans.
Nineteen state attorneys general are filing lawsuits challenging the constitutionality of the health care law.
And the list of oppositionalities toward Obama adminstration policies goes on, and on, and on. The surprising thing is that the disagreements are not based on the merits of a particular policy but rather on made up slogans like "the most radical politician in american history", an european style socialist or worse.
In November of 2008, when Barack Obama was declared the winner of the presidential elections, the better nature of America was out front and the whole world rejoiced with us for a wonderful deed. Since then the evil nature has burst forth. A significant minority in the country cannot stand the fact that an African-American is their president and commander in chief. Even certain political leaders in congress want the president to fail; forgetting that if the president fails, the failure is of the United States of America. Are there any adults around?

ZIMBABWE: GO TO THE SOURCE

As we celebrate the July 4th holidays,it crossed my mind what would have happened and where we would be today if after defeating the British Army on the battle field, George Washington, father of the nation, had allowed the Agents of King George to remain in control of the colonies. Patriots would have died for nothing. And that is exactly what the world is asking President Robert Mugabe and the people of Zimbabwe to do vis a vis the British land grabbers in Zimbabwe. And, where is former President of Zambia, Kenneth Kaunda, who pressured and convinced Robert Mugabe to accept appeals from Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher not to expel the colonizers right after the War of Independence in 1979? And why no African leader has the gall to defend the actions of President Mugabe which are reactions to repudiation of all undertakings made by the British under the Lancaster House Agreement to assist Zimbabwe with land reforms by pledging SIX HUNDRED AND THIRTY MILLION POUNDS for a period of ten years (1980 to 1990)? Having secured the non-expulsion of the defeated white settlers from Zimbabwe, Britain with encouragement from the United States of America, proceeded to renege on commitments to provide funding to repurchase - repeat repurchase - the land that was stolen from the citizens of Zimbabwe by British Settler Community. To add insult to injury, the same people who closed their markets to Zimbabwean exports and thereby creating economic hardship for the people of Zimbabwe, are offended by the plight of the people. WE CALL THAT CROCODILE TEARS.
Instead of every one demonising Robert Mugabe, the United Nations and the African Union should face the truth squarely and put pressure on the British to honor their obligations rather than working underhandedly for regime change to put sycophants into office to sell out their people

IGNORANCE BEGETS RACISM

With all the public anger displaced by the Tea Party movement in New Orleans and the celebration of the Confederacy by the Governor of Virginia, one is forced to conclude that the underlining reason is the feeling of loss of racial superiority. With Barack Obama, a self identified African American, as President of the United States of America and Michael Steele as the Chairman of the Republican National Committee, it is must be very hard to be A White Anglo Saxon Protestant living in these United States in 2010.
Whatever happened to the post-racial society we are supposed to be living in? Why do some people, even in political leadership, wish the Obama administration to be a failure?
To me personally, it is simply a question of some people could not get over the fact that they have an African American as the President of the United States. Their refusal to accept that fact is also due simply to their sense of racial superiority. How times have changed? But the level of education has not. Some people are still not aware of the origin of the human race and that we are all the same family no matter how different our skin colors. And that is why I am republishing the understated from two years ago to wit:

"Today, for most people - the truly educated class - it is an accepted fact that Ethiopia/Africa, far from being a "Dark Continent", was indeed the cradle of Humanity. The legendary River Nile - from the Ethiopian Highland source of the Blue Nile and the Ugandan source of the White Nile, all the way through the Sudan and what is now called Egypt, to the Mediterranean Sea - was the life line that nourished the early humans who inhabited the Nile Valley territory.

The origins of Ethiopian/Egyptian Civilization go way back into remote antiquity to the predawn of history over five thousand years ago. The pyramids of Giza and the Sphinxes of Luxor as mystical and scientific symbols and also as practical architectural design and building structures, go back to the beginning of recorded time and to the Ethiopian/Egyptian/African roots of world culture. In 1184 B.C., Ethiopian warriors were among the valiant ones who travelled to what is now Turkey and fought in defence of Troy when it was attacked by the Greeks. We must also make mention of the ancient Empire of Ghana - subsequently Mali and Songhay - which held sway in West Africa from the 7th Century B.C. until the 12th Century A.D. The Ghanaian University of Sankore in the college-city of Timbuktu achieved world wide fame as a leading center of learning and scholarship. The Greeks were the first Europeans to benefit from the learning and wealth of Africa. Rome of Julius Caesar and Mark Anthony was next in line. In those days, the Black Culture of Africa was the most highly regarded to be found anywhere. This esteemed Culture and Civilization came up the River Nile from the Ethiopian interior towards the Mediterranean, and not down the Nile from outside of Africa as many would have us all believe. So instead of introducing a superior culture to Africa as they have always claimed, Europeans, beginning with the Greeks and the Romans, actually came away from Africa with a better knowledge of science, culture and civilization than they previously possessed.

Yet in the 1700s, many philosophers of the Renaissance and the Enlightenment were vexed by the question of what kind of creatures Africans truly were - that is, were they human beings, descended along with Europeans from a common ancestor and fundamentally related to other human beings, or were they, as David Hume put it in 1753, another "species of men" related more to apes than to Europeans? How ignorant is that? And this is what David Hume wrote: "I am apt to suspect the Negroes, and in general all other species of men to be naturally inferior to the whites. There never was a civilized nation of any other complexion than white, nor even any individual eminent either in action or speculation. No ingenious manufacturers amongst them, no arts, no sciences". Ten years later, Immanuel Kant, responding directly to David Hume, expanded upon his observations: "The Negroes of Africa have by nature no feeling that rises above the trifling. Mr Hume challenges anyone to cite a single example in whcih a Negro has shown talents, and assents that among the hundreds of thousands of blacks who are transported elsewhere from the countries, although many of them have been fet free, still not a single one was ever found who presented anything great in art or science or any other praiseworthy quality, even though among the whites some continually rise aloft from the lowest rabble, and through superior gifts earn respect in the world. So fundamental is the difference between these two races of man and it appears to be as great in regard to mental capacities as in colour".

Not to be outdone, Thomas Jefferson even had associated Africans with apes: "Black males find white women more beautiful than black women, as uniformly as is the preference of the Oranootan for the black woman over his own species". And this came from a man who could not keep his hands off his black female slaves at night!
Fast forward to today! How is it possible that with all the knowledge that modern man or woman has at the finger tips, we are still misinformed about the origins of the human species. I am therefore of the opinion that it is not by accident that we are where we are. There is a plan from the beginning to pull the wool over the eyes of the people. A people could not be exploited if they are considered equals. And we have to lay the blame on the people who translated the Bible - Word of God - and their descendants and to question their motives.
The fastest route to change and open the minds is to reform the educational systems around the globe. It is time to do away with the lies however difficult the process gets since the entrenched ruling classes who benefit from the ignorance of the miseducated masses do not want change. Change we must have however long the process!"

The Rhode's Scholar

I do not understand why people were surprised that the Clinton campaign, led by former President Bill Clinton, were comfortable with moves, both in words and deeds, to split the races apart in the democratic primaries. After all, Bill Clinton is a Rhodes' Scholar. You may ask what that means. I am quoting from the Wikipedia here: "Rhodes' Scholarship was named after Cecil Rhodes. There has been some controversy over the original aim of the Rhodes' Scholarships as it has been alleged that Rhodes held racist opinions about the superiority of the Anglo race, and that his intention was to use the scholarships to educate future foreign leaders in Britain so that they could help spread British influence when they returned to their home countries". Bill Clinton is a proud product of that arrangement. Observations of British policies from the 1920s in Asia, Middle East and Africa to the present day show the effectiveness of the theory of divide and rule. In the United States, our progressive friends are masters at pitting blacks against latinos, females against males, smart against the dull, short against the tall and all in the interest of social justice. Would it not have been better just to realise that no matter how each one of us looks like, we are all human beings? It is time to stop voting against our own interests!

We Are Chasing Our Tails

The stock market is in a tail spin and we have all kinds of experts on the TV screens and on the radio talking out of their hats. As I gathered from Alan Greenspan's book - Irrational Exuberance - former Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin did not believe that federal officials should talk about the stock market in public. His reasoning was that, to quote: "First, there is no way to know for certain when the market is overvalued or undervalued; second, you can't fight market forces, so talking about it won't do any good. And third, anything you say is likely to backfire and hurt your credibility. People will realise you don't know any more than anybody else". Need I say more? There is no bigger truth than the above quoted statement. All the "experts" do not have an idea how to solve the economic malaise the United States is in at the moment. For years it was the common belief that the very rich were rich because they were smarter than the poor. Now we know one does well depending on circumstances and opportunities provided by friends in high places. When things do not however work out well the way they are supposed to, every one ends up spinning like a dog chasing its own tail!

Trip Into A Burning House

As I heard from the grape vine, a few minutes before Dr. Martin Luther King was shot and killed in Memphis in 1968, he was in a very introspective mood. The last thing he said before he died was - "I pray that we are not leading our people into a burning house". Since his death, integration has not meant much for majority of the African-American population. Granted there is good representation in professional sports and the entertainment industry coupled with a few window dressings in the political arena but where it matters most, we are not doing well. Family life in the African American community is totally broken; the African American male has become irrelevant; schools are training grounds for the prison industry (drop out rate from High School is higher than the graduation rate) as a result black men are five times as likely to go prison as to college. Those of us who are gainfully employed are the last to be hired and the first to be fired; we pay higher interest on mortgage loans and credit card debts. On top of everything, many young African American males who served their time in prison, never become full citizens again. America's psychological destruction of the African males has been developed into a science.

The Lesson from New Hampshire

Progressives They Are Not! During the democratic primaries in New Hampshire, specifically on January 08,2008, the Clinton News Network, facilitated by Wolf Blitzer of CNN Situation Room program, showed the world how to win elections. In what some called "red-faced frustration" and I prefer to call a poison snake attack, former President Bill Clinton described the story of Senator Barack Obama as "the biggest fairy tale I have ever seen". Watching the whole show, for me, it was not what President Clinton said but rather the venomous way he presented his argument which were actually mis-statements of Senator Obama's positions. I have never, unlike most of my kind, believed in the sincerity of our "Progressive Friends". They are always at their best when there is a master/servant relationship. But as soon as their power is challenged by someone they feel superior to, they turn nasty. President Clinton is comfortable being called the "First Black President" and he would use the African-American community for as long as the Clintons benefit. Any person of African descent who takes the progressives at their word that we are all created equal when talking about political power, must have his head examined.
